Cougars Outscore Huskies

Coach Morel
NHS Men's JVB Soccer falls 7-2 to Cardigan Mountain School.
NHS had its home opener against CMS's JV team in what turned out to be an offense-heavy competition. The Cougars took advantage of major opportunities in the center of the field throughout the game, leading to a lopsided score early on. A strong, well-placed shot by Max Hsu '29 got the Huskies on the board and got a spark of energy back into the Husky gameplay. In the second earned Penalty Kick of the day for NHS, Sam Gilman '28 answered the call moments after being subbed into the game, proving ready for the pressure, driving a rocket of a shot towards the goalie. Despite making contact, the strength of the shot diflected to the bakc of the net. While the score may not be our ideal outcome, the effort and fight shown throughout the second half is something to be proud of.
