Determination paid off for NHS in their last visit
The Huskies earned a hard fought redemption against an old rival.
After a previous hard loss at home against Proctor the Huskies were looking for redemption. Billy and Andrew started in the midfield started to connect well early on in the game. The due kept feeding the attack. Andrew time and time again took a several defender, leaving Sebastian wide open on the wing. Consequently, Carter and Ryan tried their luck but unfortunately their efforts were unsuccessful. Curtin, Marek and Mateo answered the call when needed, challenging for the ball and making their presence heard on the field. On the right wing Joe and Ryan linked up and provided Gabe with plenty of on the final third. Gabe was able to dribble past defenders multiple times but the Huskies were missing the final touch. At the 20th minute a play started by Gabe on the right wing left Ryan of front of goal. His shot was deflected and Sebastian headed the first one in. Billy, Andrew and Max kept control of the midfield and kept pushing forward. Proctor had a number of chances and Jeffrey performed up to the expectations, providing crucial saves. The second half got under and both teams fought to assert themselves in the field. On fifty fifty ball Proctor was able to tie the game. The Huskies kept pressuring, Gabe and Carter on the right wing were able to put a string of passes together. Gabe was successful on individual plays and was fouled a number of times outside of the box. Sebastian kept utilizing his physicality as a striker. Unfortunately, the effort of NHS did not pay off. Joe, Max and Ryan did the same on the opposite wing. Gabe and Sebastian had a number of shots on target but were saved by the opposition. Proctor also created a number of chances but the defense fought hard to keep the score 1-1. At the end of the game both teams went home with a draw.
