The New Hampton Huskies softball team ended the 2025 campaign with a convincing win over Brewster on Wednesday. Ellie Zink started and pitched four strong innings, giving up two runs. Liv Sabin came on in relief, giving up only one run over the last three frames. Offensively, it was a team effort, as every player played the field and batted. Abby Schrader and Riley Proulx had RBI hits, among others. In the top of the 7th, the seniors were all in the field together, and Thai Uyen Chu made the crucial first out, with Aniyaha Perez in center and Adriana Hernandez playing an inning in left away from her usual spot at third base. When Abby Schrader caught a pop up to end the game, the Huskies had a convincing win and a positive note to end the season. Although we had a losing record, the team showed tremendous growth and progress. I am so proud of the effort the team put in, and I am happy we got to show the best version of ourselves during this last week.
