Huskies Walk Off Bulls in Thriller

Tim Tracy
The Huskies played a roller coaster of a game in this one, charging back from 5-1 and 11-10 deficits to walk off Holderness in the bottom of the 7th inning. Pitcher Liv Sabin threw a complete game, and pitched well. Holderness scored 7 runs off of 2 homeruns by their first basement, who later came in to pitch. For New Hampton, the bats were timely when needed. Abby Schrader, Aniyaha Perez, and Riley Proulx all had key hits, but it was Danika Virgin's line drive single in the bottom of the 7th with two runners on that would win the game. Overall, this was a great performance for the team, and it emphasized the growth and progress the Huskies have made since the beginning of the season. The team will play Brewster in the consolation game on Wednesday.
