Huskies Build on Team Defense in Road Loss

Again, the Huskies showed real development in another contest against a top Lakes Region team, this time pushing Tilton to 6 innings on their home turf. Ellie Zink, again taking the starting spot for an injured Liv Sabin, pitched 6 strong innings. The defense provided real support, with the outfield making timely catches, and the infield - particularly shortstop Danika Virgin - testing the Rams on the base path. Unfortunately, New Hampton could not get enough offense going to make it closer, as Tilton's starter pitched a perfect game, striking out 11 of 12 Huskie batters. Despite the offensive struggles, the Huskies continue to show marked improvement.
