New Hampton faced off against Kents Hill at neutral site, Fryeburg Academy on Wednesday afternoon.
With many of the Huskies facing nagging injuries, the whole squad needed to step up on the day. New Hampton started off slowly, but still managed to get the scoring going with two first half goals from Elizabeth Vincent. The first came off of a Brielle Lee assist and the second from Emma Labrie. The Huskies would take the 2-0 lead into halftime.
Looking to extend their lead, New Hampton continued to push forward and found four second half goals. After assisting the first of the game, Lee would get on the other end and finish past the Kents Hill keeper to make it 3-0. Clara Thompson would then extend the lead with two goals of her own -- the first assisted by Labrie and the second from Katie Usilton. Sandwiched in between, Audra would cap off strong wing play from Casey Stores that she would fire home for another Husky goal.
Stores and Mackensie Mercier would combine in the Husky net for New Hampton's seventh shutout of the season.
