The Huskies faced a deep and talented Dexter Southfield team on Fall Family Weekend. Dexter pounced on New Hampton early as the Huskies struggled to find their way into the game. Despite hanging tough and playing strong defense against a talented attack, New Hampton went into the halftime break down 3-0.
After a lapse to start the second half, bringing the score to 4-0, the Huskies finally found their groove and got back to their tough defensive ways across the field. A renewed sense of urgency saw New Hampton get their first looks at goal while holding Dexter goalless for the remainder of the half. Kristen Vinagro '28 stepped up for New Hampton by playing hard defense at center back in the second half, with Heidi Smith '26 stepping into the midfield to help shut down the Dexter build-up game. Up front, Adriana Hernandez '25 was relentless in her pressure, forcing the Dexter backline into missed passes for the Huskies to try to capitalize on.
