We kicked off the season with our home opener on Kennedy field against Brooks School. Brooks is a powerhouse program that regularly competes for the NEPSAC championship. While the score ended 6–0 in their favor, our boys showed tremendous heart and gained valuable experience from the challenge.
We saw many positives to build on. Our captains—Trey Farnsworth, Griffin Taylor, and Noah Stevens—led by example, setting the tone for resilience and determination. Trey was outstanding in goal, making 18 saves against constant pressure, and his effort kept us in the game. We also want to recognize Cubby Morris ’29, who showed grit, energy, and impressive soccer IQ in the midfield—precisely the qualities we want to see in our players.
As a team, we recognize that there is plenty of room for growth, which is exciting. We left the field encouraged by what we learned, confident that with hard work and focus, we will continue to improve each week. The season is just beginning, and the opportunities ahead are full of promise.
