The Huskies battled hard against a talented Bridgton team, but ultimately fell in the end. Despite Bridgton holding much of the possession in the first half, the Huskies broke through and Jaedyn Feaster delivered a beautiful ball into the box that was finished off by Jack Kidd to go up 1-0. Harry Jenkins was stellar in net in the first half and made some crucial saves to keep the huskies up one going into halftime. The Huskies faced aggressive pressure from Bridgton to start the second half, but the Bears were not able to break through New Hamptons strong defensive formation and capitalize on their opportunities. New Post Graduate striker Tanner Keenan hustled hard to force a mistake in Bridgtons back line and was able to cleanly slot one away on a breakaway to put the Huskies up 2-0. Bridgtons relentless pressure began to wear the Huskies down and they were able to put one away on a corner to make it 2-1. They followed it up quickly with a PK after a hand ball in the box to even it up at 2-2. Trey Farnsworth made some excellent saves in the second half the keep the Huskies alive and Ronan McNamara was a force to be reconned with in the back line. The Huskies ran out of gas near the end of the game and Bridgton managed to capitalize with one more goal to make it 3-2. The Huskies played hard and are looking forward to their next opportunity.
