Gritty Game

New Hampton Huskies showed up ready to take on a tough opponent at KUA.  With similar records going into the game NHS 3-6-1 and KUA 4-6-1 the boys played their best soccer of year. With good ball movement, holding shape, and leading our strikers up the wings KUA was forced to spread their defense leaving gaps and tried and keep the ball in the middle on offense isolating their options. We made some positional changes which kept the defense on lockdown and allowed our midfield some better movement and contact. Both teams were pushing their strikers which drew many off sides calls and broke the flow of the game. There was a lot of contact in the game which resulted in several PK goals which gave KUA the win in the end. Hard fought and if we come out like that again at home we will have the win.
