Huskies Lose in a High Scoring Bout to the Hornets

The Men’s Varsity B Hockey Team travelled to Proctor Academy to face the hornets on Friday. In this Lakes Region rivalry game, the Huskies opened the scoring early with a quick goal from Jacob Resnick. The Hornets responded quickly after to tie the game at 1-1. Jacob Resnick continued the scoring for the Huskies with his second goal of the period making it a 2-1 game. Yet again the Hornets tied the game at 2-2 in a back-and-forth match.
Starting the second period off strong James Debenedictis capitalizes to take the lead for the Huskies yet again at 3-2. After another quick tie from Proctor at 3-3, Jacob Resnick will score again to complete his hat trick towards to end of the 2nd period to make the score 4-3.
The Huskies had a tough start to a high scoring 3rd period as Proctor came out to score 2 quick goals making the score 5-4. The huskies did not go away as Carter Sahagian found the puck on the backside in an odd man situation to tie the game at 5-5. Although the Huskies were able to keep fighting, they ultimately fell short to Proctor 8-5.
The Huskies look to get back tomorrow at it tomorrow versus Cushing Academy at home.
