Huskies Unsuccessful in Home Opener

Despite taking a 12-point lead early in the game, New Hampton was unable to sustain the momentum for four quarters, as Dexter would score 35 unanswered points to win the game. New Hampton's points were scored by Seamus McIntyre, who kicked two field goals and Mark Belcher, who took a Charlie Kaikow pass 72-yards for a touchdown. The defense was led by Jan Kruger who made 7 tackles and recovered two fumbles and Talon Perkins who made 8 tackles and intercepted a pass. The huskies head to Reading, Massachusetts next Saturday to face Austin Prep.
