Huskies Roll on the Road, Topping St. Andrew's 76-52
New Hampton opened a two-game weekend in impressive fashion, earning a 76–52 road win over AAA St. Andrew’s School. The Huskies set the tone early, scoring on their opening possession when Ava Perry found Serenity Lancaster for an easy basket. New Hampton built an 8–0 lead and would trail just once all game, a brief 2-point deficit in the second quarter.
The Huskies’ defense took over after halftime, stifling the Saints in the third quarter and fueling a decisive run that pushed the lead to 20 points entering the final eight minutes. New Hampton’s unselfish play (22 assists) was evident throughout, as the ball moved freely and eight different Huskies scored in a balanced team effort.
Lancaster and Saige DeJesus led the way, catching fire in the second half to finish with 19 and 18 points, respectively. Casey Stores scored in a variety of ways finishing with 10 points. Kailey Sullivan and Elyse Ngenda, each added nine points, while Chloe Dix, Libby Dahn, and Perry rounded out the scoring, giving the Huskies their 10th victory of the season.
