Huskies Shine on National Girls and Women in Sports Day!
New Hampton's Serenity Lancaster and Shannon O'Leary went to work in the paint today combining for 15 points in the first quarter. The Huskies built a 21-point lead at the half and their focus remained steadfast until the final buzzer, finishing with an 18:6 assist-to-turnover-ratio, 12 steals, and 48 rebounds.
Exeter's Ava Bryan put up some impressive numbers, scoring 22 points and grabbing 6 rebounds, playing all 32 minutes.
Ava Perry '27 had a breakout second half scoring 11 of her season-high 13 points. She finished with 6 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists. Elyse Ngenda knocked down 3 triples en route to 15 points. Lancaster, recently named the Student-Athlete of the Month, was the third Husky in double-figures today with 31. She grabbed 12 boards earning her 10th double-double of the season.
New Hampton (13-6) will have a rematch with AAA opponent Tabor Academy on Saturday. The Huskies beat the Seawolves, 62-58, on the road in January.
