Lancaster's Double-Double Streak Continues in Win Over Holderness

The Huskies were firing on all cylinders in the first quarter of today's match-up against Lakes Region League rival Holderness School. Sophomore Shannon O'Leary was a force in the paint! She crashed the offensive boards and finished the first half with 8 points. Seniors Kitt Jones and Tahlia Pena played scrappy defense and led the fastbreak in transition. Junior Captain Elyse Ngenda chipped in with 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals all before halftime. 

Senior Adriana Hernandez finished an "and 1" to start the second half to build a 14-point lead for New Hampton. Serenity Lancaster '26 went to work on both ends of the court -  recording yet another double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Hernandez grabbed 5 caroms, dished 2 assists, and had 2 steals. Ava Perry pulled down 6 rebounds and sank a triple. Pena ended with 6 points while Mackensie Mercier logged 11 minutes and had an assist, a rebound, and a steal. Final score: NHS - 52, HS - 39

New Hampton improves to 8-2 and will face two formidable opponents on the road this weekend - St. Andrew's on Friday night and Tabor on Saturday afternoon.
