Solid Team Win over Grace Christian at the She Got Game Classic
Junior Co-Captain Elyse Ngenda was on fire in the first quarter of today's game scoring 16 of the team's 20 points, giving New Hampton a 20-8 edge. Grace Christian gained some momentum and outscored the Huskies in the 2nd period, but still trailed by 11 at the break.
New Hampton's lead swelled to 18 in the 3rd period behind balanced scoring from senior Tahlia Pena, Ava Perry '27, Serenity Lancaster '26, and Ngenda. Grace Christian put up more points than NHS in the final period, but the Huskies had a big enough cushion to hold on for a 48-34 victory and improve to 4-0 on the season.
