Four Huskies in Double Figures in Win over NCGBB

The team departed campus this morning at 5am for a short flight to Washington DC where they will play 3 games over the weekend in the She Got Game Classic.

Tonight's game tipped off at 7:30pm at The St. James on Court 1. The atmosphere was both electric and chaotic with several games occurring at the same time, but the Huskies were able to stay focused on the task at hand and remain undefeated.

Four different players ended the game in double figures. Junior Serenity Lancaster had a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Casey Stores '27 knocked down 5 threes for 18 points, while Co-Captain Elyse Ngenda '26 and sophomore Ava Perry chipped in with 10 points apiece.

New Hampton's lead ballooned to 20 points in the 4th quarter behind the sharp shooting of Stores. The Huskies crashed the boards on both ends of the floor, often limiting NCGBB to just one shot, while capitalizing on offensive put-backs of their own. Perry, Ngenda, Shannon O'Leary '27, and Kitt Jones '25 each grabbed 4 or more rebounds.

Once again, seniors Adriana Hernandez, Thalia Pena, and Jones brought the energy and hustle. Their scrappiness and intensity wreaked havoc for NCGBB creating pressure which often led to turnovers for our opponent.

Lancaster had a team-high 5 assists, while Ngenda was close behind with 4.

New Hampton moves to 3-0 on the young season and looks forward to tonight's game with Grace Christian (NC). Tip off is 7pm.
