New Hampton Wins on Senior Day Over Proctor
The New Hampton School Huskies hosted Proctor Academy Saturday afternoon and won the game 7-3. Prior to puck drop, the Huskies honored their 10 seniors who will be graduating from New Hampton in May.
After a slow start where the Huskies found themselves down 2-1 after the first period (goal scored by Luke Gerardi '25 and assisted by Connor Pierson '25 and Richard Jenkins '26) they were able to come out scoring 6 unanswered goals.
The second and third period goal scorers were Matthew Homer '26 (assisted by Dylan Podergois '26 and Luke Gerardi '25), Connor Pierson '25 (assisted by Dylan Podergois '26 and Matthew Homer '26), Dylan Podergois '26 (assisted by Ray MacDougall '26 and Matthew Homer '26), Luke Gerardi '25 (assisted by Connor Pierson '25 and Broden Wood '25), Nate Cohn '25 (assisted by Connor Pierson '25), and Luke Gerardi '25 (assisted by Connor Pierson '25 and Broden Wood '25).
Post-grad Cole Pouliot-Porter '25 was excellent in net making 29 saves in the victory. Other post-grad goaltender Jack Roche '25 was able to log some minutes late in the game and made four saves.
