Huskies Cruise Past Brewster in Dominant Win on Senior Night

NEW HAMPTON, NH --

Looking to snap their losing streak in a crucial Lakes Region matchup, the Huskies delivered a statement performance on Senior Night against Brewster Academy — dominating from start to finish. From the opening puck drop, the Huskies set the tone with relentless pressure, physicality, and skill. They controlled possession, won battles along the boards, and dictated the pace of play in all three zones. The numbers told the story: New Hampton outshot Brewster 53–18, showcasing a complete team effort and commitment to playing fast, hard-nosed hockey. The offense came in waves, with contributions up and down the lineup. Senior Captain Addy Peel ’26 led by example, finding the back of the net twice in a commanding performance. Liv Murray ’28 also tallied two goals, continuing her strong play. Kiara Drake ’27, Audra Custance ’28, Junior Captain Emma MacPherson ’27, Junior Captain Ella Fischetti ’27, Roxie Merck ’28, Avery Lucier ’29, and Lilly Thomas ’26 each added a goal of their own, highlighting the depth and balance of the Huskies’ attack. It was a complete effort in every sense, disciplined in the defensive zone, aggressive on the forecheck, and composed in transition. The Huskies played with confidence and urgency, feeding off the energy of Senior Night and honoring their graduating leaders in the best way possible: with a dominant win. The victory provides a major boost as the Huskies regain momentum heading into an important stretch of NEPSAC matchups, beginning with a road trip to Phillips Exeter Academy on Saturday, 2/14. With renewed confidence and a full-team effort leading the way, the Huskies are building toward their strongest hockey at just the right time.
