The Huskies hit the road for an important NEPSAC matchup against Tabor, looking to climb the standings with a win or a tie. Tabor, however, came out flying and set the tone right from puck drop, putting immediate pressure on the Huskies. While the Huskies had moments in the offensive zone and generated chances here and there, they struggled to find consistency through the first two periods. After Tabor built a 4–0 lead, goaltender Cara Kuczek ’26 entered the game and delivered an outstanding performance, turning away a relentless Tabor attack. Kuczek kept the Huskies off the scoreboard for the remainder of the second period and throughout the third, giving her team a chance to claw back into the game. The Huskies came alive in the third period, bringing noticeable energy, physicality, and urgency. Tabor ran into penalty trouble, giving the Huskies two 5-on-3 power-play opportunities, but Tabor’s goaltender stood tall and denied every chance. The final period was physical on both sides, with the officials allowing the teams to battle. While it wasn’t the Huskies’ strongest performance overall, the effort and fight shown in the third period spoke volumes about the group’s character. The Huskies will look to carry that momentum into Wednesday’s road matchup against Pingree as they aim to get back into the win column.
