Huskies Shutout Holderness to Send Them to the Lakes' Region Championship

NEW HAMPTON, NH --

The huskies faced off against Holderness and hoped to punch their ticket to the Lakes' Region Championship. The girls were ready to go, and started the game off strong, dominating offensive zone possession. They had their chances, but the Bulls' goalie had an answer for each of the chances. Husky goaltender Cara Kuczek '26 kept Holderness off the board to keep the game tied at 0 heading into the second. The huskies continued to dominate in the second, and it wasn't until half way through the period, on the powerplay,  that the huskies opened the scoring off a beautiful redirect by KK Michaud-Nolan '25. 30s later, Kennedy Walker '25 doubled the husky lead off a laser snipe from the slot. Cara continued to keep Holderness off the board to maintain a 2-0 lead going into the third. The huskies started the third very similar to the last two periods--dominating puck possession. A 3-on-1 offensive rush allowed True Thompson '25 to add to the husky lead off a beautiful backdoor pass from Caroline Thomas '25. About 5 minutes later, Addy Peel '26 ripped a slap shot to add to the huskies' commanding 4-0 lead over Hodlerness. Cara kept the puck out of the net to hold onto the shutout, and send the huskies to the Lakes' Region Championship game in a 2024 rematch against St. Paul's.
