Huskies Robbed In OT After GWG Called Back

SOUTHBOROUGH, MA --

The huskies finished out their weekend back on the road to MA to face-off against St. Mark's School. The girls were looking to continue their dominant play from their previous game. They started off strong, and controlled the play for most of the first. Trinity Walsh '25 opened the scoring, giving the huskies a 1-0 lead. Goaltender Elizabeth Vincent '27 answered each of the St. Mark's chances to keep them off the board to preserve the 1-0 lead going into the second. The second period wasn't the huskies best start, as St. Mark's came out strong, scoring 2 quick goals to take the lead. The huskies did not back down, and continued to fight to tie the game. Eventually, husky defenseman Addy Peele '26 scored a beautiful backhand goal to tie the game heading into the third. Both teams came out strong to get the go ahead goal to start the third, and St. Mark's was successful as they regained the lead 3-2. However, the huskies would not go down easy, and Lily Thomas '26 scored the tying goal off a redirected shot in front. The game ended 3-3 after regulation. Like most of the game, the Huskies controlled most of the OT period, even when they were on the penalty kill. Kennedy Walker '25 scored a beautiful goal to end the game, but the goal was unfortunately called back due to a very questionable goaltender interface call. No one could find the go ahead goal, so the final was a 3-3 tie.
