Huskies Dominate BB&N in First Game Back From Break
CAMBRIDGE, MA --
The huskies were back on the road for their first game back from break against a tough BB&N team. The huskies came out strong, forechecking the BB&N D hard. The huskies dominated in possession, and had their chances, but could not solve the BB&N goalie yet. Goaltender Elizabeth Vincent '27 was tested, but kept BB&N off the board in the first. True Thompson '25 scored her first goal of the season, beating the buzzer to take a 1-0 lead into the second. BB&N came out hard after a disappointing first, but they were n match for the huskies' offensive pressure. The huskies had a surge of offense right at the start, scoring 3 quick goals in the first 3 minutes of the period, and chased the BB&N goalie out as they made a goalie change. Trinity Walsh '25, Julia Laughlin '25, and Kennedy Walker '25 each scored to take a commanding 4-0 lead with 13:55 left to go in the second. Elizabeth Vincent continued to keep BB&N off the board in the second, answering each of their chances. The third was very physical and filled with chances from both sides. Despite the score, BB&N still came out strong and tried to climb back, but the huskies held them off. BB&N scored a powerplay goal with 5:32 left on the clock, but Caroline Thomas '25 answered their goal with an empty netter, solidifying a 5-1 win over BB&N.
