Competing in the White Mountains
New Hampton’s coed ski team is a fun and comprehensive program that teaches all aspects and levels of skiing and competition. The team competes in the Lakes Region Alpine Racing Series and the New England Private School Athletic Conference.
The Lakes Region Alpine Racing Series is comprised of coed teams from surrounding private schools including St Paul’s, Proctor, Holderness, Dublin, Vermont, Brewster, Kimball Union, and Cardigan Mountain. Lakes Region competitions are held for Slalom and Giant Slalom, with the competition level ranging from intermediate to expert. The series is fun and relaxed, and gives New Hampton student athletes a chance to make friends with fellow skiers from other schools and travel to other local ski areas.

Our Facility
The Alpine Ski Team trains primarily at Waterville Valley, just 35 minutes north of campus, with additional sessions at Cannon Mountain and Bretton Woods. Athletes benefit from a highly skilled coaching staff and access to outstanding local facilities that create the perfect environment for growth and competition. The team trains four days a week and competes in races throughout January and February, providing athletes with consistent opportunities to challenge themselves and refine their technique. We welcome intermediate to expert skiers who are eager to push their limits, build strong team connections, and share in the excitement of alpine racing.
