  Jamie Bavaro

  As the head coach of the women’s varsity basketball program, Jamie’s philosophy is “hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.” She emphasizes the importance of her players representing themselves as active community members and determined student-athletes. In her first few years at New Hampton School, the team has been 2x Lakes Region Champions and 3x NEPSAC Class AA Semi-finalists.

   

  Before New Hampton, Jamie was selected to the Sport Changes Life Program in Ireland, where she played and coached basketball, along with earning her master’s degree at Maynooth University. She directed basketball clinics in schools around Dublin, while also working with elite players on the Irish national team. At the collegiate level Jamie played at Niagara University, where she was a three-year starter and two-year captain; leading the team in assists and minutes played. Jamie also has experience in personal training and coaching local club teams in southern NH. Jamie attended Bishop Guertin High School where she was a 1000th point scorer & NH Gatorade Player of the Year; leading her team to its first girls' basketball state title.

   

  In addition to being the head coach of the women's basketball program, Jamie is also the Assistant Director of Athletics & Co-Curriculars, teaches in the English department, and is involved with our Student-Athlete Advisory and Equity & Inclusivity committees.

  Tiffany Corselli

  A native of Yonkers, New York, Tiffany brings energy, grit and style to our women’s program. She played NCAA Division I basketball at Niagara University. During her time at Niagara, she served as the vice president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Graduating Niagara University with a BA in Sports Management, Tiffany moved to Dublin, Ireland as a member of the Sport Changes Life program. In Dublin, she played for Dublin City University and the club team DCU Mercy while also studying for her masters.  As the starting shooting guard, she helped her club team win the women’s national cup and was selected 1^st team all-Ireland. In addition to playing, she coached and led her DCU Mercy u16 and u20 girl’s teams to national cup wins. After graduating with her MS in Business Management, she returned to Yonkers and started playing semi-professional basketball for the Mount Vernon Shamrocks.  

   

  Prior to her arrival at New Hampton, Tiffany worked as a youth sports coordinator for a sports-based youth organization “Kids in the Game”. In addition to this role, she has also served as a head coach for numerous schools and club programs. In 2019, she was honored as coach of the year by Up2Us Sports.  

   

  Tiffany is part of the Student Life Office and DEIB department. She also works with our Student-Athlete Advisory, Equity and Inclusivity committee, and oversees the Black Affinity group on campus.
