Huskies Beat Proctor on the Road

Julia Loughlin '24 led the Huskies Monday afternoon with 3 hits and 4 RBIs as the Huskies beat Proctor Academy 21-13 on the road. In all, the Huskies amassed 14 hits in the contest. Proctor jumped to an early lead in the bottom of the first inning, scoring 4 runs as the Huskies settled into the game. In the top of the third, the Huskies put 8 runs on the board, jumping ahead 8-4 on 5 hits and 4 batters hit by pitches. Proctor rebounded in the bottom of the third, scoring 5 runs and re-taking the lead, 9-8. Another huge inning in the top of the 4th put the Huskies ahead for good as they added 6 more runs on 4 hits and 3 walks, batting around the line up for the second time in the game. Julia Loughlin '24 came in to pitch in the bottom of the 4th and earned the win for the Huskies as she gave up just 4 runs in two innings, forcing the Proctor Hornets to hit into easy ground ball outs. In the top of the 5th, the Huskies added 7 more insurance runs on 4 hits including singles from Loughlin and Riley Proulx '26 as well as a deep fly ball double from starting pitcher Liv Sabin '27. Up next for the Huskies is another Lakes Region battle as they travel to KUA on Wednesday.
