Newbie Ireland Stark '26 opened the scoring on the day with her first goal as a Husky. A solid rebound collection, Stark '26 confidently put the ball past the Bulls' keeper to get New Hampton on the board. Shortly after, Holderness found an unmarked player in the Husky's defensive end and they returned with a goal of their own. Building on that momentum, Holderness was able to knock a second one in to take the lead before the half. Scoreboard read 1-2 in Holderness' favor.
Rallying together, New Hampton kept their composure and set the pace of play for the remainder of the game. Kennedy Walker '25 had a relentless 50 yard run, blowing by Holderness defense and collecting her own rebound to guarantee the game's equalizer at the very end of the third quarter. Keeping that same energy up in the fourth, Husky offense capitalized on two great runs, resulting in goals by Caroline Thomas '25 and Julia Loughlin '24.
For her first goal and tremendous effort across the field, Ireland Stark '26 was awarded our Husky Hustler this afternoon. Shout out to Martina Pike '24 for her efforts putting together a great Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on Friday night and keeping the celebrating going through the end of home games on Saturday afternoon.
